Gámez Torres, Nora

(Havana, 1978) is a Visiting Scholar at the Cuban Research Institute of Florida International University and the Miami Observatory on Communication and Creative Industries at the University of Miami. She obtained her Ph.D. in Sociology at City University, London, with a thesis entitled “Living in Transition: Popular Music and Social Change in Contemporary Cuba.”
